Experian Scottish Public Sector Customer Conference 2010 - 'Mind the Gap'
08-Sep-2010
Murrayfield Stadium Conference Centre, Edinburgh
Whatever else changes over the coming year one thing is certain. We will all have to find ways of delivering ever better services with ever tighter budgets. Is this possible?
This free one day event will give you the opportunity to meet and hear from practitioners who have managed not only to square this circle but who have discovered that efficiency and quality go hand in hand.
The event will concentrate on people who have looked at old issues in an entirely new way. They have recognised that in some cases a decisive break from the business and delivery models of the past is an essential part of making progress. We will also look at examples of existing services being transformed through incremental but radical improvement. The emphasis will be on practical delivery rather than theory; and on approaches which have relevance regardless of your sector.
The conference is aimed at decision makers from right across the public sector - from healthcare, education, public safety, the Scottish government and local government.
Confirmed speakers include:
- George Black, Chief Executive, Glasgow City Council
- Colin Mair, Chief Executive, Improvement Service
- Ged Mirfin, Chief Data Officer, Business Link Northwest
- Stuart Ogg, sportscotland
Event format
- From 9.15am Registration
- 10.00am - 4.15pm Conference sessions
