Operational Efficiency Programme (OEP): Back Office & IT Conference 2010

OEP Conference 2010

27-Jan-2010

The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre

The Operational Efficiency Programme report challenges all Public Sector professionals involved in back office operations and IT to achieve efficiencies of over £7 billion within 3 years, starting from a 2007-08 baseline of £34 billion.

Information Technology is the common thread and one of the key enablers of change and efficiency. It can also produce efficiencies within its own operations to reduce costs and energy use.

This conference explores where the strategy starts, how to implement it and what measures need to be taken regarding the efficient operation of Back Office Operation and IT. The main plenary features experts from all areas of the Public Sector who will be sharing their knowledge and experience with the entire audience. Later on breakout sessions will address the specific interests of both senior strategists and operational/implementation specialists.

Experian QAS will present a masterclass at 1.30pm on the subject of:
'A Customer's View: Strategic Use of Contact Data Management to Achieve Operational Efficiency'.

The public sector is under increasing pressure to drive efficiency and improve citizen services. Whether in local or central government, healthcare or emergency services, individuals tasked with such challenges are highly aware that citizen and location data is an asset in tackling such initiatives as Tell Us Once, Contact Point and customer data integration projects. This masterclass will include a customer case study and will focus on using contact data to achieve operational efficiency. Attendees will leave armed with top tips for the ongoing management of data, including:

  • Getting board buy-in for data initiatives
  • Achieving a Single Customer View
