Experian’s apprenticeship data booklet helps you understand your full range of local 16-19 provision
As part of the Machinery of Government reforms, Local Authorities (LAs) will soon assume responsibility for securing sufficient education and training provision for all 16-19 year olds, including apprenticeships. To prepare for planning and commissioning, LAs must build up an understanding and evidence base of 16-19 apprenticeships in their area. Experian’s easy-to-use booklet helps our clients achieve this, by collecting in one place the relevant local data addressing every aspect of apprenticeship provision. Making use of this will ensure that decision-making in this crucial area is based on the most complete location-specific information available.
Experian has an in-depth understanding of post-16 provision in general and apprenticeships in particular, as well as significant experience in handling information from all the key learning and labour market data sets and presenting the results in clear, user-friendly ways. We can also add further value through our in-house expertise and capabilities such as GIS mapping and employer analysis through our National Business Database (NBD).
The result is a comprehensive guide which collates the most relevant data on apprenticeships in your local area. Each section is in an accessible format, with simple but full explanations of the relevance and key findings of the data. In addition, a final section offers links to further sources of information about apprenticeships to help aid further research into apprenticeships if required. The booklet therefore provides an ideal starting point for anyone involved in designing and implementing a local apprenticeship offer.
